We have put some screen shots on this website to try to help
you to get a feel for what the software is and how it works.
However there is no substitute for trying it yourself, which
is why we encourage you to download a 60 day trial version.
This software is the full working version, except that it
is time limited. Although you will not be able to record telephone
calls with the software by itself, you will be able to make
recordings using a computer microphone or some other sound
source. The best way to test the software is to order the
complete product on our 14 day satisfaction guarantee. With
the complete product you will receive the connector to join
your telephone and PC so that you will actually be able to
record telephone calls.
We currently provide updates to the software free of charge.
If you already have an unlocked version of the software you
can download the latest version of the software to get a free
upgrade. To install, double click on the 957 icon in the system
tray to bring the 957 software window up, click on the record
tab, and click on the bottom left button marked "Deactivate"
to stop the software running. There is no need to uninstall
the previous version (DO NOT GO INTO CONTROL PANEL ADD/REMOVE
PROGRAMMES), just install the software that you download into
the same directory. All settings and recordings will be retained.
Which connector do you have between the telephone and the
PC?
If it has part no. 157 written on it, then the following
does not apply. If it has part 650100 on it, then you have
the Intelligent Recording Interface. Version 1.63 of the software
on can be started and stopped under the control of the Intelligent
Recording Interface. This needs a stereo cable (available
from Retell and now shipped as standard with a 957ADV). The
stereo cable is plugged into the mono socket on the IRI, and
switch 4 underneath is turned on (up). The other end of the
stereo cable is plugged into the line in socket on the soundcard.
If you have the Intelligent Recording Interface but only a
mono cable (one black ring on the silver shaft) then we will
send you a stereo cable (two black rings on the silver shaft)
free.
